Annie DeFrino tied her career high with seven scores and reached the 50-goal mark for the second year in a row as Colorado College wrapped up its home schedule with a frantic 22-18 victory over Williams College on Thursday night at Washburn Field.
In her final regular-season home game, senior attacker
Lily Benjamin dished out a career-high six assists and added a goal.
CC matched its season high of 22 goals for the fifth time and surpassed the 20-goal mark for the ninth time in 12 games.
Junior attacker
Steph Kelly scored five goals and now leads the Tigers with 70 points (35 goals/35 assists).
After freshman attacker Kara Wollmers tied the score at 10-10 with 2:57 to play in the first half, markers by sophomore midfielder
Ellie Meyer and DeFrino gave the Tigers a two-goal lead at halftime.
Colorado College utilized a 6-2 surge early in the second half to create some separation, but after taking an 18-12 lead, the Ephs fought back and pulled to within four with 6:44 to play.
The Tigers extended their lead to 21-15 on goals by DeFrino and Kelly, only to see Williams score three times to trim its deficit to three with 2:19 to play.

Cassis Schafer caused three turnovers apiece to lead the Tigers' defensive effort.
Wollmers led the Ephs with seven goals while sophomore midfielder Emma Tenbarge added five more.
Senior midfielder Jenna Chodos scored three goals and recorded eight draw controls, six ground balls and three caused turnovers for Williams.
CC plays at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday at 1 p.m. PT.
