Colorado College makes its first appearance in the Mountain West Championship since 2015 when the Tigers tangle with the University of New Mexico in the first of two quarterfinal games on Tuesday, Oct. 30. Kick-off for the first-ever postseason meeting between CC and the Lobos is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT at San Jose State University.

The Tigers improved to 9-6-2 overall and claimed the sixth and final berth in the MW tournament with a 1-0 victory over Air Force last Friday. Colorado College, which will be playing at a neutral site for the second time this season, is 2-4-2 on the road, which includes a 1-3-2 mark in conference play.

New Mexico earned a share of first place in the conference table with a 7-2-2 record after defeating San Diego State 3-1 on Friday, but was seeded third due to tie-breakers. The Lobos are 5-0-2 during the month of October and finished the season with a 3-4-1 record away from home.

Colorado College holds a 7-6-0 lead in the series with New Mexico. However, since CC began competing in the Mountain West in 2014, the Lobos have prevailed in three of the five meetings, including a 2-1 victory in Albuquerque on Oct. 21. Tuesday's contest will be the first in the postseason as well as at a neutral site.

The Tigers average 1.12 goals per game while conceding 0.88. Senior midfielder
Lauren Milliet leads CC with five goals and 14 points.
Lucia Costanza owns a team-leading five assists, four of which set up game winners, and is second with nine points.

Jacqui Hand are tied for second on the team with three goals and tied for third with seven points. Freshman forward
Abby Hubbard is fifth with five points and tied for fourth with a pair of goals, while freshman forward

Jade Odom has played every minute in goal and owns a 0.85 goals-against average and a .812 saves percentage. Colorado College ranks second in the Mountain West with just 15 goals allowed and its 0.85 goals-against average, and is tied for fifth with seven shutouts.

Colorado College has conceded more than two goals only once this season. In fact, only four teams have scored more than once, including then-No. 5 Texas A&M on Sept. 7. The Aggies entered that game averaging more than three goals per game and had scored three or more on five of six occasions.

Fourteen of CC's 17 games this season were decided by one goal or less. The Tigers are 7-5-2 in those games, including a 5-3-2 mark in conference games. Colorado College also has a 2-0-2 record in overtime games this year, with a 1-0-2 mark in MW games that went to extra time.

The winner of Tuesday's Colorado College-New Mexico game will face No. 2 seed Wyoming in Thursday's first semifinal match at 7 p.m. PT. The second semifinal will feature No. 1 seed Boise State against the winner of Tuesday's second quarterfinal between Fresno State and San Jose State.
