The Colorado College men's cross country team concluded up its 2018 season Saturday with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Division III West Regional Championships in Claremont, Calif.
The result equals the best for the Tigers at the regional meet in the last five years.

Sophomore
Paul Olsen led the Tigers with a 35
th-place finish, capturing the final all-region slot, by covering the 8K course in a personal-best time of 26 minutes, 2.8 seconds. Junior
Tony Calderon just missed an all-region selection by placing 36
th in 26:04.1.

Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps tied for the team title with 54 points each. Colorado College finished with 191 points. The top two teams automatically qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships, while the top seven individuals that are not on those two or other teams selected at-large also advance to the national meet.

David Eik was CC's third-best runner in the final cross country race of his career, finishing 42
nd with a season-best time of 26:15.6, followed by juniors

th). Mahler also recorded a personal-best time of 26:22.6.
