Colorado College Athletics will host National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, Feb. 2, in the El Pomar Sports Center (44 W. Cache La Poudre St).

The event is designed to introduce and promote opportunities for young girls to participate in sports. Young women (and young men) are invited to meet CC student-athletes as well as representatives from local sports organizations as they participate in an interactive sports clinic.

Organizations that will join Colorado College for the event include the USOC Women's NET, USA Volleyball, USA Ultimate, USA Weightlifting, YMCA and the First Tee of Pikes Peak.

The expo and clinic begins at 4:00 p.m.

Immediately following the clinic, the CC women's basketball team will host Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Texas Lutheran University at 5:30 p.m.

Admission is free for all events.
