The Colorado College volleyball team claimed a share of its third consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season championship with a dominating 25-16, 25-15, 25-15 victory over Johnson & Wales University on Friday night at Reid Arena.
The eighth-ranked Tigers improved to 29-3 overall and 17-1 in the SCAC, and will enter next week's conference championship as the No. 2 seed.
Seniors
Jordan Mullen and
Marguerite Spaethling had eight kills apiece to lead CC.
Mullen also had a team-leading 10 digs.
Senior
Haley Harris hit .455 with six kills on 11 swings with only one error, while
Allie Freeburg put down four of her six attempts for a .667 clip.
Georgia Mullins recorded seven kills and had a hand in six blocked shots to pace the Tiger defense, which had a 10-0 advantage in total blocks.
Colorado College held the Wildcats to a -.033 hitting percentage, marking the third time this season an opponent has hit in the red against CC.
Colorado College Standouts
Ann Gurolnick led the Tigers with nine digs and served a pair of aces.
Laney Swan had three kills and five block assists.

Brooke Paxton led the Wildcats with eight kills.
Kaitlin Jones had a match-high 13 digs.

Next for the Tigers
Colorado College begins its quest for a third-consecutive SCAC Championship and an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship on Saturday, Nov. 9. The Tigers will play the either No. 3 Southwestern University or No. 6 Texas Lutheran University at 2:30 p.m. CT.
