Senior Henry Baldwin and junior Max Blackburn each posted an individual victory Thursday at the CSU-Pueblo Spank Blasing Track & Field Meet in Pueblo. The meet was originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, but was pushed back one day due to possible poor weather this weekend.
 
Baldwin continued his outstanding spring season by winning the high jump with a leap of 6'8.75", just one-quarter of an inch shy of his school record.
 
Blackburn, meanwhile, captured the 3,000-meter steeplechase race with a time of 10 minutes, 5.06 seconds. Sophomore Andrew West finished third in the race with a time of 11:04.83.
 
Junior Tony Calderon and senior David Eik placed fifth and eighth, respectively, in the 5K. Calderon finished the race with a time of 16:07.20, while Eik ran it in 16:30.92.
 
Other top-ten results for the Tigers on Thursday included freshman Logan Henning (seventh in the pole vault), sophomore Michael Gorman (eighth in the 400) and sophomore Paul Olsen (ninth in the 800).
 
CC's 4x400-meter relay team, consisting of freshmen Lucas Cowan and Max Perozek, along with sophomores Gorman and Damon Hardwick, finished third in 3:36.59.
 
The Tigers return to action next weekend, April 5-6, at the CU Invitational in Boulder, Colo.
