Box Score The Colorado College women's basketball team will have to wait another day to claim the third seed for the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

An off-shooting night, especially in third quarter, and foul trouble among its interior players resulted in a 73-64 loss at Southwestern University on Friday night.

CC, which slipped to 14-10 overall and 10-7 in the SCAC, will clinch third with either a victory at Texas Lutheran University or a Trinity University victory over Schreiner University on Saturday.

If the Tigers are the third seed, they would face either Southwestern or TLU on Friday, Feb. 28 in Kerrville, Texas.

Tedy Reed led Colorado College with 17 points, reaching double digits for the fourth time this season.

McKenzee Gertz posted her 11th double-double of the season with 10 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.

Anna Fanelli scored eight points and dished out four assists. She moved up to fifth place on the program's single-season list with 126, and needs only 11 more to climb two more spots into third.

Despite shooting just .397 from behind the arc, the Tigers took a 32-30 lead into the second half.

The Pirates took command in the third quarter when they outscored CC, 23-12.

Cecily Woolfolk finished with 27 points and 12 points to lead Southwestern.
