Colorado College seniors
Georgia Mullins and
Isabella Vasquez made the most of their final two matches at Reid Arena, combining for 46 kills, 39 digs and 18 total blocks to power the seventh-ranked Tigers to three-set victories over DeSales University and Cornell College.

Vasquez recorded the first of her back-to-back double-doubles with 10 kills and a team-high 11 digs during the 25-15, 25-16, 25-18 win over DeSales in the first match of the day.

Mullins led CC with 12 kills and matched her career-high of seven total blocks for the second day in a row. Â

The Bulldogs scored the first five points of the match, but Colorado College answered with an 11-3 surge to grab the momentum.

DeSales was within 14-12 after a kill by Shannon McDevitt, however the Tigers closed out the set another 11-3 run.

In the second set, CC snapped an 11-11 tie with a five consecutive points and didn't let the Bulldogs get closer than four points.

Colorado College bolted to a 9-3 lead in the third set and never was threatened.

The Tigers utilized nine total blocks to hold DeSales to a .053 team hitting percentage.

In the 25-15, 25-13, 31-29 victory over Cornell, Mullins posted her second consecutive double-double with a match-high 14 kills and 10 digs.

Not to be outdone, Vasquez posted her eighth double-double of the season and her third of the weekend with 10 kills and a team-leading 12 digs.

As a team CC blocked 10 shots and held the Rams to a .068 hitting percentage, which marked the 12th time an opponent hit less than .100 against the Tigers.

Mullins finished the weekend with 41 kills and climbed into a tie for 19th place with Laura Goldsmith (2009-12) with a career total of 858. She also had 23 blocks in the four matches to climb to 11th place with 228 block assists and 16th with 271 total blocks. Â Â

With 41 kills in four matches, Vasquez climbed to 27th place with 695.

Colorado College, which improved to 22-3, returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference plays with three matches at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.
The Tigers face host Schreiner University on Saturday at 9 a.m. MT, then get a re-match against No. 3 Trinity University at 1 p.m. MT. CC closes out the weekend against No. 16 Southwestern University on Sunday at 11 a.m. MT.
