Georgia Mullins recorded her fourth double-double in the last six matches and became the 16th player in Colorado College volleyball history to record 900 more kills while leading the Tigers to a 25-16, 27-25, 20-25, 25-23 victory over No. 16 Southwestern University in their final match of the weekend on Sunday.
Mullins put down a match-high 18 kills and finished the day with a career total of 909. She completed her fifth career double-double with a personal-best 21 digs. Mullins also produced six blocked shots and three service aces to round out another dominating performance.
CC also received double-doubles from sophomore outside hitter
Isabella Lipacis and senior outside hitter
Isabella Vasquez.
Lipacis recorded a career-best 23 digs and completed her 14th double-double of the season with 12 kills.
Meanwhile, Vasquez registered her 10th double-double of the year with 12 kills and 11 digs.
In the first set, Colorado College utilized a balanced attack to overcome a 13-11 deficit with a 14-3 barrage.
The Tigers jumped out to a 10-5 lead, but the Southwestern battled back to tie second set at 18-18. After CC won the next two points, the Pirates utilized a 6-1 run to get to their first set point.
Colorado College scored three in a row to take a 25-24 lead on a combined block by Mullins and
Keeley Kandziora, and after a kill by SU's Lauren Crabtree, the Tigers put the set away on a kill by Mullins and an ace from Kandziora.
The Pirates scored the first four points of the third set and never trailed, and then went toe-to-toe with CC in the fourth set.
The Tigers built a 17-13 lead on a kill by
Jenny Jenks, but Southwestern answered with a 6-2 run to tie the set at 19-19.
After splitting the next six points, a Mullins kill and an attack error by the Pirates put CC on match point.
A bad set made the score 24-23, but Kandziora closed out the match with her seventh kill of the day.
Colorado College Standouts
Jenny Jenks dished out 43 assists and added 19 digs.
Peyton Hummel produced 14 digs and six assists.
Southwestern University Standouts
Lauren Crabtree led the Pirates with 13 kills.
Katelyn Whitehead had a team-high 20 digs.
Notes
Colorado College improved to 24-4 overall and 9-3 in the SCAC.
Southwestern dropped to 21-3 overall and 11-3 in conference play.

Colorado College returns to Texas next weekend for the final four matches of the regular season. The Tigers face the University of Dallas and Austin College on Saturday, then Centenary and Texas Lutheran on Sunday.
