Senior opposite hitter
Allie Freeburg pounded down six kills and blocked a pair of shots to help lead the Colorado College volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-20, 25-16 victory over Schreiner University in the series finale on Saturday.

Freeburg hit a sizzling .429 on an error-free 14 attacks, and her blocked shot in the first set snapped a 20-20 tie and ignited a 5-0 run that gave the Tigers the first set.

CC also received clutch performances from senior setter
Isabelle Aragon-Menzel, who dished out 23 assists and added 13 digs, senior middle hitter
Emma Hewlin, who hit .364 with six kills, and first-year outside hitter
Isabella Lipacis, who led the team with a match-high eight kills.

Colorado College also received a big-time effort from
Isabella Vasquez, who finished with seven kills on 26 swings with just one error. The junior outside hitter also recorded eight digs.

In the first set, CC overcame an early four-point deficit to knot the score at 12-12. Neither team led by more than a point until a kill by Lipacis ignited a 7-1 allowed the Tigers to take the first set.

After trailing by two points at the start of the second set, the Tigers opened a seven-point lead at 19-12 on a kill by Hewlin. The Mountaineers closed to within 22-20, but Colorado College forced errors on the final three points to take a two-set lead.

In the third set, CC used a 10-3 run to turn a two-point deficit into an 11-6 lead. After Schreiner closed to within 12-8, the Tigers scored eight of the next nine points to open a 20-9 cushion, and the Mountaineers never got closer than seven points before Colorado College put the match away.

Peyton Hummel posted six digs and an ace.
