Lauren Brocke, a former Division I basketball player at Colorado State University, is making her coaching debut as a member of the women's basketball staff at Colorado College, head coach
Katherine Menendez announced today.
"Lauren quickly emerged at the top of the list during our national search," Menendez said. "Her energy, work ethic, communication style and high expectations will make a significant impact on the lives of our student-athletes as we work toward our goal of winning an SCAC championship and getting to the NCAA tournament. Lauren's high-level playing experience is an exciting piece of her background and we are thrilled that she is back in Colorado as a CC Tiger."
Brocke's responsibilities will include recruiting, player development, scouting, community service, leadership training, team travel coordination and managing the program's social media.
Brocke played three seasons for the Rams after taking a redshirt year as a freshman. She saw action in 47 career games, including eight as a starter.
While at CSU, Brocke was a Mountain West All-Academic selection in 2019 and a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She also participated in the school's Costa Rica Abroad Program
Brocke earned a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management in May 2021.
After graduating, she served as a claims analyst at MBA Administrators and Compass Benefits.
