Braley Nets Career-High 21 points, but Tigers Stumble at Schreiner

Rosie Braley poured in a career-high 21 points, but 28 turnovers proved costly as Colorado College dropped a 63-60 result at Schreiner University on Friday night.

Twelve seconds after CC's Audrey Bayston tied the score at 60-60, Gabby Ivarra hit the game-winning triple for the Mountaineers with 44 ticks remaining.

Schreiner missed all four of its free throws during the final 21 seconds, however the Tigers were unable to connect on three game-tying shots, one of which was a desperation heave in the final seconds.

Braley hit a jumper midway through the third quarter to give Colorado College its largest lead of the game at 44-36, but six turnovers prevented the Tigers from adding to their cushion and the Mountaineers utilized a 12-2 surge to grab a two-point lead after 30 minutes.

CC led for the final time at 53-52 when Laura Strenk dialed long distance with 4:52 to go, but Nariyah Buggs hit back-to-back three-balls to put Schreiner up 58-55.

Braley finished 7-for-17 from the floor and 5-for-11 at the free-throw line. She also grabbed nine rebounds.

Bayston scored 14 points for the Tigers, while Tedy Reed added 10.
