Colorado College connected on a season-high 12 three-point baskets, including seven during the first half when the Tigers built a commanding 25-point lead, and went on to post a 93-74 victory over Centenary College on Friday night at Reid Arena.
CC drained its first four shots from behind the arc as well as seven of its first eight long-range attempts while building a 16-point lead with during the first 11:26.
Five different Tigers connected from behind the arc during that time, including senior guard
Jack McRoskey and freshman guard
Scott Ruegg, each of whom as 2-for-2.
During the final six minutes of the first half, Colorado College scored 10 points in the paint and added eight free throws to build a 51-30 cushion after 20 minutes.
The Gents scored the first six points of the second half to trim their deficit to 15 points, however the Tigers answered with a 24-8 barrage that finished with back-to-back triples from
Isaac Zachem and
Alex Russo.
From that point on, Centenary was unable to get its deficit below 20 points until the final two minutes.
Scott Cunningham went 3-for-5 from behind the arc and led CC with 19 points.
McRoskey and Ruegg finished with 12 points apiece.
Devin Philio scored nine points and a grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
The Tigers finished the game with a 46-24 advantage on the glass. Â

Edgar Romero scored 10 points and had a pair of assists.
Alex Russo produced seven points, two rebounds and a pair of assists.

Braeden Board led the Gents with 16 points.
AJ Hall came odd the bench to score 12 points and grab five rebounds.

Colorado College improved to 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the SCAC.
Centenary dropped to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play.Â
