The Colorado College women's basketball team started their 2022-23 campaign with a 99-95 win over the Concordia University - Chicago Cougars 99-95 on Friday night in Reid Arena.
In her first game as a Tiger, freshman guard Andie Will got the start and immediately made an impact. She scored 30 points and earned five assists in the Tigers's victory, 13 of them coming in the second period.
Audrey Bayston scored 18 points in the home opener, including going 2-3 from behind the arc to give the Tigers a 60-51 lead going into the second half.
The Cougars battled back in the fourth quarter to make it a one score game with only four minutes remaining led by Katherine Benes and Melia Perry who scored nine points each.
Sophomore forward
Zoe Tomlinson earned a double-double, including a last minute offensive rebound and second-chance basket for the Tigers, and finished with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Senior
Anna Fanelli finished with 7 points and 14 assists.
The Tigers finished with a 54-38 advantage in the paint and forced 16 turnovers.

Zoe Tomlinson earned 17 points and 16 rebounds.
Freshman Andie Will nabbed 30 points in the first game of her career.

Katherine Benes scored 32 points and nabbed 8 rebounds

Colorado College will return to action tommorrow at 2 p.m. to take on Emory University at home.
