The Tigers fought their way back to the win column with an 88-76 victory over the Austin College Roos on Sunday afternoon.
Four Tigers scored in double digits in the victory:
Scott Ruegg,
Adrian Price,
Dinari Boykin, and
Leo Magnus. Ruegg scored a career-high 25 points with five assists and three rebounds. Price earned his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
"I thought our defense really improved this week and we shared the ball really well," coach Jeff Connaroe said. "Our kids played hard and earned this one, I'm very proud of them."
CC led by as much as 16 points and the end of the game after an impressive 10-3 run with just under six minutes left in the game.
Price closed out the Tigers' run with a leaping rebound off of a missed free throw by
Edgar Romero to put CC up 80-66 with just over two minutes left in the game.
The Tigers forced 14 turnovers and held the Roos to just eight second-chance points.
Austin College was led by Jordan Hudgins who came off the bench to score 14 points.
