Tigers Extend Winning Streak to Three in Win Over Austin College

The Tigers extend their winning streak to three games in their 74-53 win over Austin College on Saturday afternoon.

CC got off to a hot start against the Roos, shooting 42.1% from the field in the first quarter and holding the Roos to just nine points and forcing five turnovers. Colorado College dominated Austin College with a 17-0 run in the second period led by Tomlinson with eight points, followed by Will with five.

Sophomore Zoe Tomlinson led the charge for the Tigers and earned her fourth double-double of the season with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Andie Will and Rosie Braley also scored in the double-digits with 11 and 10 points each.

Senior Anna Fanelli continued to command the court and make an impact with nine points, 10 assists, and four rebounds.

"Anna set the pace and did a great job getting the ball distributed to our scorers as well as hitting well-timed 3's," coach Katherine Menendez said. "Andie had a great game both in terms of assists and scoring the ball with confidence."
The Tigers held the Roos to a 37.9% shooting percentage, forced 18 turnovers and allowed just nine second-chance points.

"Our posts did a fantastic job leading the charge in our opening conference game," Menendez said. "Zoë dominated the glass and consistently worked for high-efficiency scores in the paint. Rosie had impact minutes and her effort on the boards plus her strong finishes helped set the tone for our team."

Austin College was led by Sarah Gwin who earned 17 points and four rebounds.
