Elliot Nelson tied the score at 2-2 with 3:56 remaining in the first quarter, Grove City went on an 11-4 scoring binge to build a 13-6 cushion after 30 minutes.

Nelson's second goal 1:42 into the second half ignited a 4-0 run for the Tigers, but after
Dylan Wells scored to cut the Tigers' deficit to 13-10, the Wolverines retaliated with a 5-1 surge to re-gain the momentum.

John Lawrence notched goals in a span of 11 seconds to pull Colorado College to within 18-13 with 9:20 to play, however Grave City answered with four consecutive markers to end any hopes for comeback by the Tigers.
