Shekinah Oloyede set a school record in the 60-meter dash Saturday at Colorado Mines Winter Classic Track & Field Meet in Golden, Colo.

After grabbing the eighth and final qualifying spot in the prelims, Oloyede, who did not compete for the Tigers her first two years, finished fourth in Saturday's final in 8.07 seconds. That time surpassed the previous record of 8.21 seconds, set by Samantha Gilbert in 2018.

Bea Pierrepont posted a fifth-place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.57, while
Maya Mossanen finished ninth in the high jump (5'3") and
Emma Fowkes placed 10
th in the 6-meter hurdles in 10.13 seconds.

Fowkes, Pierrepont and Mossanen joined
Tori Matson to win the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:25.36.
"We had a lot of solid performances across the events today," head coach
Katie Bretscher said. "
Shekinah Oloyede's race in the 60m dash certainly stood out. It was impressive to watch her break the school record in her first collegiate meet."
