Colorado College extended its win streak to a season-long four games with a 67-63 victory over Texas Lutheran on Sunday at Reid Arena.

The Tigers won their second game in as many days following a 71-58 win over Southwestern University and solidified their hold on fourth place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.

Audrey Bayston led a trio of Tigers with double-digit scoring efforts, tallying 25 points, including a 4-for-8 effort from beyond the arc.
Talia Cloud chipped in a season-high 18 points, including a team-leading and career-best six three-pointers.

Anna Fanelli dished out 11 assists to move into second place on the single-season helpers list with 186, trailing only Melanie August (192 in 2007-08). Fanelli also boasts the No. 4 spot on the single-season list with 140 during the 2019-20 season.Â

As a team, CC hit 40.7 percent of its shots (24-of-59), including 11 three-pointers (11-of-32). The Tigers outrebounded the Bulldogs 46 to 32 in the game (25 to 16 in the first half) and held TLU to 33 percent shooting from the field (21-of-63).

The Tigers started slow, falling behind 16-5 in the first quarter thanks in part to five turnovers, before ending the stanza on an 8-0 run, including a pair of three-pointers by Cloud.

A layup by Bayston pulled CC within one at 16-15 with 9:14 left in the first half and Cloud tied it up at 18 a minute later with another long ball. Trailing 23-18 at 7:01, the Tigers charged back to take their first lead at 26-23 on a Bayston triple. TLU scored seven of the last nine points of the half to go to the locker room up 30-28. Neither team scored in the final 3:40 of the stanza.

Cloud gave the Tigers the lead for good at 31-30 with a three pointer just 29 ticks into the second half. CC boosted its advantage to 12 as Bayston chipped in nine points, including a three pointer, to make it 44-32 for the home side, but Texas Lutheran cut the margin to single digits at 57-48 with 36 seconds to go in the third quarter care of a pair of Juliana Tapia free throws.

A Braley layup accounted for the first score of the fourth quarter, putting CC up 11 at 59-48, but the Bulldogs took over from there, narrowing the gap to six at 64-58 on a three by Kailey Lacy.

Bayston boosted the Tiger lead back to six at 66-60 making the back end of a two-shot stint at the free throw line with 36 seconds left. TLU called timeout and scored two seconds later on a three-pointer by Jayla Santa Maria to make it a one-possession game.

Colorado College missed three free throws down the stretch, but Bayston buried one with five seconds remaining to put the game out of reach.

Colorado College Standouts
Rosie Braley recorded 10 points and a team-best 11 boards for her fourth double-double.
Zoe Tomlinson finished with six rebounds, four points and three assists.

Jenesis Navarro led the Bulldogs with 12 points and dished out seven assists.
Tanyse Moehrig added 10 points and five rebounds.
