Malia Rivera each won a pair of matches on Monday to lead the Colorado College women's tennis team to a 6-3 victory over Pacific University at the USTA National Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.

The Tigers took an early 2-1 lead by winning the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches, including n 8-5 victory by Jensen and Rivera at No. 2 over Grace Truong and Valentina Casab-Klescova. Â
Christina Heffron and
Elizabeth Girian took the No. 3 match, 8-3, over Jessica Eligio and Gillian Mead.

In singles, Heffron and Girian dropped the Nos. 1 and 2 matches, respectively, but CC captured the other four to post its first team victory on the spring break trip.

Meister defeated Truong, 7-6(3), 6-4, at the No. 3 position, while
Romi Hodor downed Casab-Klescova, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 4.

Jensen handled Eligio, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 5, and Rivera dominated Mead, 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 6 spot.

The Tigers (4-6) return to action on Tuesday, March 22 against Luther College at the USTA National Tennis Center, beginning at 4:30 p.m. (MT).
