April Kwan each posted a first-place result Saturday as the Colorado College women's outdoor track and field team opened its 2022 season at the Ed Boitano Invitational in Tacoma, Wash.

Fowkes won the 400-meter intermediate hurdles race with a time of 1:08.18, and finished third in the 100-meter high hurdles in 16.31 seconds.

Meanwhile, Kwan tied for first in the high jump with a leap of 4'11" and placed seventh in the high hurdles with a time of 19.72.

Shekinah Oloyede continued her momentum from a spectacular indoor season with three top-5 finishes on Saturday. Oloyede, who set a school record a couple of times in the 60-meter dash earlier this spring, placed second in the 100-meter dash (12.81 seconds), third in the 200 (26.70) and fourth in the long jump (15'7").

Other top-5 results for the Tigers include
Bea Pierrepont, who finished second in the 400 (1:01.21),
Clare Quinn (third in the 1,500; 4:56.61), and
Kate Odom and
Tori Matson, who placed fifth in the 200 and 800, respectively.
