The Colorado College women's tennis team posted its second consecutive shutout Friday with a 9-0 victory over McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
 
The Tigers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead by sweeping the three doubles matches. 
Olivia Dicks and 
Maddy Meister won the No. 1 doubles match, 8-6, over Hannah DeFriend and Hope Turner, while 
Gigi Jensen and 
Malia Rivera pulled out an 8-7(5) win over Kaylin Parker and Bridgette Fly at the No. 2 position. 
Christina Heffron and 
Elizabeth Girian completed the sweep by defeating Andrea Smith and McKenzie Carroll, 8-2, at No. 3.
 
Colorado College won four of the six singles matches in straight sets, and won the other two in a third-set tiebreaker. Meister defeated DeFriend, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0(8), at No. 2, while 
Romi Hodor took the No. 5 match, 6-4, 6-7(5), 1-0(3), at the No. 5 spot.
 
The Tigers (8-11) wrap up the 2021-22 regular season on Saturday, April 23, against Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, beginning at 7 a.m. (MT).
