Peyton Murphy and
Delia Freliech combined for seven goals to help Colorado College roll to a 22-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse in the first of two games on Saturday.
Murphy led CC with four goals, which matched her season high, while Freliech added three to equal her season best.
Annie Tucker also produced four points with two goals and a pair of assists.
Olivia Dossett put the Tigers on the board 33 seconds into the game, then
Evelyn Baher-Murphy,
Tobin Lonergan and
Bella Scola each scored during a span of 66 seconds to give CC a 4-0 lead just 4:48 into the contest.
After Nicole Jernander scored for the Eagles, Colorado College reeled off 18 consecutive goals and cruised to a commanding victory.
Twelve different Tigers struck for a goal while seven scored at least twice as CC reached the 20-goal mark for the fifth time this season.
With a goal and an assist during the opening 4:19, Lonergan reached the 50-point plateau, which marked the 36th time in program history a Tiger achieved that level of production in a single season. She finished the game with 51 points, which ties her for 29th on the single-season list. Â
At the other end of the field, the defense conceded a season-low one goal. The previous best was the 23-4 win over Hendrix College on March 21, which also was CC's largest margin of victory this season prior to today.
The Tigers won 20 of 27 draw controls and finished with a 22-8 advantage in ground balls.
Colorado College launched 40 shots, while UWL finished with 12.
Natalie Slade made four saves for CC during a little more than 25 minutes of action.
Avery Newton stopped three shots during the final 34:55.
