Senior
Josh Fry's second consecutive title in the 1,500-meter run helped the Colorado College men's track and field team to a third-place finish at the 2022 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in San Antonio, Texas.

The Tigers finished the meet with 95 points and placed third for the sixth consecutive time. Trinity University won the team title with 225 points, followed by Texas Lutheran with 204. Â Â

After a second-place finish in the 800 on Saturday, Fry posted his second straight win in the 1500 with a time of 3:54.69, the second-fastest ever at the SCAC championship meet and nearly a second and a half ahead of runner-up Will Salony of Trinity. Fry's teammates and fellow seniors
Sam Rodriguez and
Paul Olsen finished third and fourth, respectively.

Freshmen
Walt Jones and
Brett Kitazono earned all-SCAC honors in their first league meet by finishing second and third, respectively, in the 5K. Jones completed the race with a time of 15:40.66, while Kitazono posted a time of 15:42.50. Â Junior

Ayden Cherry was seventh.

Leighton Graham collected a sixth-place finish in the discus with a toss of 122'6", while senior
Justice Colfax was seventh in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.68 seconds.

Holden Perry,
Aidan Santos, Rodriguez and Fry, wrapped up the meet with a sixth-place finish.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, May 6, at the Air Force Academy Twilight Open, for the first of several "Last Change" meets throughout the month of May leading up to the NCAA Division III Championships.
