Singer Wins 10K at Fighting Chance Invite

Colorado College freshman Elliot Singer won the 10K race at the Fighting Chance Invite Friday evening in Joliet, Ill.
 
Singer captured the race with a time of 36:57.53, just over five seconds faster than runner-up Zarya de Souza of Washington University. It is the 39th fastest time in Division III this season.
 
Junior Kendall Accetta placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:59.87, while fellow junior Na'ama Nevo finished 12th in 11:21.21.
 
Senior Clare Quinn posted a 10th-place result in the 5K with a time of 18:18.04.
 
On the men's side, sophomore Devlin Swanson finished 10th in the 10K with a time of 32:09.31 and senior Ben Gellman placed 20th in 33:58.35.
 
Several Tigers will compete at the Loper Twilight Meet in Kearney, Neb., on Saturday, May 14, beginning at 2 p.m. (MT).
