In the final match of an SCAC weekend, the Colorado College volleyball team defeated St. Thomas, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-22) to improve to 11-10 overall, 7-4 in the conference.

For the second match of the weekend the Tigers outhit an opponent with a .250 hitting percentage to the Celts .188.

Isabella Lipacis recorded a double-double with 11 digs and 15 kills.
Jenny Jenks was again tops in setting with 28 assists and she led the team with two blocks.

In the opening set the Tigers led 7-3 before
Keeley Kandziora served her team to four straight points and essentially put the set away for CC.

In the second set the Tigers again took an early lead before four straight points by St. Thomas tied it up at 10-all. CC led by seven, 20-13 before the Celts battled back to within two and the two sides then traded sideouts before a kill by
Coco Barton and an error on St. Thomas allowed the Tigers to take a two-set lead.

The third set looked like the Celts were going to get one back as St. Thomas quickly went up by five and led by as much as seven before
Carolyn Dormady served her team to four straight points and put the Tigers within two. Then
Brooke Brilliant was definitely brilliant as she also racked up four points and gave CC the first lead in the set at 15-14. With the Tigers up 22-21, a service error on the Celts and two kills by Dormady gave CC the victory.

Sharon Dingman said. "It was fun to see our growth this weekend. We played with consistent energy and confidence."

The Tigers will be back in action next weekend in Shreveport, La., with three SCAC matches on tap. CC will take on Austin College and Centenary on Friday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. MT and 5 p.m. MT, respectively. A match against University of Dallas on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 9 a.m. MT will round out the weekend.
