Box Score For the fifth straight year, the Colorado College hockey team hoisted the Pikes Peak Trophy with a dominating 6-2 victory over Air Force Friday evening at Cadet Ice Arena.

CC struck first at the 5:21 mark of the first period when Veremyev took a pass along the right boards from Zaccharya Wisdom, cut in front of the net and beat Air Force goalie Guy Blessing for his second goal of the season. Less than five minutes later, Evan Werner racked up his second goal of the season, putting home a rebound on the power play after Veremyev hit the post.

The Tigers made it 3-0 at the 14:48 mark of the opening frame. Riley Stuart collected the puck deep in the Air Force zone and found Ray Christy all alone in front for his second tally of the campaign.

The Tigers held Air Force scoreless in the middle frame, then increased their lead to 5-1 when Stanley Cooley notched his first of the season at the 4:14 mark of the third period. Andrews scooped up his second assist in the game after feeding it to Drew Montgomery, who found Cooley all alone in front of Blessing.
