Tigers Defeat Schreiner at Home

Box Score Colorado College defeated the Schreiner University Mountaineers, 66-51, on Friday night in Reid Arena.

Trey Crawford led the Tigers, alongside Dinari Boykin and Leo Magnus who all scored in the double digits. Crawford earned his third double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Boykin and Magnus put up 12 and 10 points respectively.

"Tonight I thought we had some great individual performances," coach Jeff Conarroe said. "A spectacular team defensive effort, our post guys were really good, defending around the rim with eight blocked shots. We took their two best players pretty much out of the game. To hold Kamden Ross, an all-conference player to 1-10 from the floor is pretty incredible."

The Tigers and Mountaineers fought hard, each with 19 points in the paint and eight points off turnovers. But, CC came out of top, having shot 39.7% from the field to Schreiner's 26%.

"Tonight we really guarded and were really good on the glass," Conarroe said. "We're playing and sharing the basketball a lot more than we were before and I think that's really going to help us down the stretch."

The Mountaineers were led by Darian Gibson who scored 11 points and grabbed two rebounds.
