The Colorado College women's track and field team continued its 2023 indoor season on Friday at the Invitational at the Peak, held at the Air Force Academy.

The Tigers competed against athletes from Division I schools Air Force, Colorado State, Wyoming and Northern Colorado.

Freshman
Clara Lippert posted a pair of top-five results on Friday, finishing third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.77, and fifth in the 200 in 26.44 seconds. Freshmen
Emma Jones and
Adele Davis and senior
Naomi Bram placed fifth, sixth and eighth in the 400.

Junior
Emma Fowkes placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.24 seconds, followed by freshman
Asha Soni in third (10.84). Fowkes also placed 11
th in the 200 and 12
th in the 60, while Jones had her second top-10 finish in the 200 (ninth in 27.55).

CC's 4x400 relay team, consisting of Fowkes, senior
Shekinah Oloyede, Davis and Lippert, placed second with a time of 4:30.11.

In the field events, junior
April Kwan placed fourth in the high jump, clearing 4'11".
"We had several solid performances today," head coach
Katie Bretscher said. "Many of our athletes improved upon their times from last weekend."

The Tigers return to action at the AFA Collegiate Open at the Air Force Academy on Friday, Feb. 17.
