Freshmen
Ella Fullerton and
Abby Goodfried led the Colorado College women's track and field team by finishing first and second in the 800-meter run Saturday at the season-opening Ed Boitano Invitational in Tacoma, Wash.

Fullerton won the race in a time of 2:22.74, followed by Goodfried in 2:22.98. Fellow freshman
Maddie Shove finished fourth (2:24.68) abd senior
Tori Matson was sixth (2:27.51).

Clara Lippert posted a pair of top-five results, placing fourth in the 200 with a time of 26.96 seconds, and fifth in the long jump with a leap of 15' 3.5". Freshman
Emma Jones was ninth in the 200 in 27.76 seconds.

Also in the field events, junior
April Kwan (4'10.25") and Jones (4'8.25") placed second and fourth, respectively, in the high jump. Kwan also finished fifth in the triple jump (30'3.75").

The 4x400 relay team of Lippert, Jones, Shove and Goodfried finished second with a time of 4:14.00, while the team of Isabel Olsen, Frogge, Fullerton and Matson placed fourth in 4:27.94.

"It was a fun start to the outdoor season," head coach
Katie Bretscher said. "We had a lot of positive momentum from the indoor season as well as having some individuals trying new events."
