The Colorado College women's tennis team fell to Colorado Mesa University, 9-0, Saturday at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.
 
The Mavericks jumped out to an early 3-0 lead by sweeping the three doubles matches. The top two matches were very close, with Makenna Livingston and Halle Romero defeating Maddy Meister and Magdalene Gonzales, 8-6, at No. 1, while Issy Coman and Macy Richards downed Malia Rivera and Gigi Jensen, 8-7(2) at the No. 2 spot.
 
In singles play, Colorado Mesa won all six matches, five of them in straight sets. Jensen nearly won the No. 4 match but fell to Paige Furin, 2-6, 7-6(2), 1-0(5).
 
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, April 2, against Metro State in Denver, beginning at 11 a.m.
