Three individual titles helped the Colorado College women's track and field team score a program-record 209 points and finish second at the 2023 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship on a cold and windy day in Georgetown, Texas.

The Tigers placed second for the second consecutive season, just behind Trinity University, which won the team title with 268 points.

Senior
Clare Quinn opened Sunday's session by running away with the 5K title in a time of 18:11.58 after placing second in the event each of the last two years. Sophomore
Sydney Rankin finished second and 10K champion
Elliot Singer third for all-SCAC honors, while
Charlotte Furman placed fourth and
Alison Mueller-Hickler fifth.

Rankin captured her own individual title later in the day, winning the 1,500-meter race in 4:54.01, followed by Quinn in second, sophomore
May Lamb in fourth and freshman
Brooktie Frogge in seventh.

Freshman
Emma Jones led a 1-2-3 finish in the high jump, edging junior
Emma Fowkes. Both Emma's cleared 4'11.75", but Jones had one fewer miss at the height to claim the title. Junior
April Kwan finished third, then placed fifth in the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 31'9.5".

Freshman
Clara Lippert earned all-SCAC honors with a third-place finish in the 400 with a personal-best time of 1:00.36, while Fowkes placed fourth in the 110 hurdles. Sophomore
Erin Capell also narrowly missed the podium by finishing fourth in the shot put with a PR toss of 35'11".

Following the event, senior
Charlotte Furman was named the winner of the prestigious Elite 19 Award for men's track and field. The SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. Additionally, the student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC honors in his/her sport for that particular season.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, May 5, at the Air Force Academy Twilight Open, for the first of several "Last Chance" meets throughout the month of May leading up to the NCAA Division III Championships.
