Colorado College finished the '22-23 academic year in 92

This spring, James Settles earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the men's lacrosse team advanced to the Division III Tournament for the third consecutive season.
Beginning in 1993, the Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Throughout the course of the year, points are awarded based on a school's finish in up to 18 sports - nine men and nine women - in NCAA Championships. Colorado College is uniquely positioned as a multi divisional institution, sponsoring 15 Division III sports and 2 Division I sports.
Of the 438 schools competing under the NCAA Division III banner, 323 registered points in the Directors' Cup standings for all seasons.
"It is exciting to see the progress across the board with our Division III sports," Colorado College Vice President and Director of Athletics Lesley Irvine said. "We talk a lot about postseason goals and providing that championship experience to our student-athletes. We are proud of our coaches, teams and individuals who all contributed to this national recognition."
In the fall, the women's cross country team dominated the SCAC Championship Meet by capturing the top nine spots, then finished 20th at the NCAA Division III Championships in Lansing, Mich.
Meanwhile, Settles qualified as an individual for the National Meet and placed 60
th, the best result since 2013. Head coach Alex Nichols was named the SCAC Coach of the Year for both programs for the second consecutive season.
In the winter, Kate Brush earned first-team All-America honors with an eighth-place finish in the 100 butterfly and second-team honors by placing ninth in the 200 butterfly.
