The two teams were pretty evenly matched throughout the contest and the Tigers held a slight edge in attacks (128-125), kills (44-37), assists (37-36) and digs (60-58).Â
Â
Sophomore

In the final set, the Tigers had to come back from a four-point deficit and rallied to go ahead 24-22 but the Pirates weren't going down without a fight. Southwestern tied it up at 24-all but CC scored the final two points for the victory.
Â
"This was a great team win," head coach
Sharon Dingman said. "At critical moments, different players elevated their game to make a decisive play and Meghan (Gannon) was a spectacular Tiger tonight."
Â
CC continues league play with matches on Saturday against Texas Lutheran (10 a.m. MT) and St. Thomas (2:30 p.m. MT). The Tigers end the weekend with a match against Schreiner on Sunday.
