CC Drops Four-Set Match to No. 22 Trinity

The Colorado College volleyball team couldn't quite complete a three-match SCAC weekend sweep in Houston, Texas, falling to No. 22 Trinity University in four sets on Sunday.

With the 25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20 victory, Trinity improved to 13-6 overall and 6-1 in the SCAC. After defeating St. Thomas on Friday and upsetting No. 16 Southwestern on Saturday, Colorado College is now 10-8 overall and 6-2 in league play.

Once again, Carolyn Dormady and Camille Sherrill led CC offensively, collecting 17 and 14 kills, respectively. Annie Steger posted a match-high 46 assists and Meghan Gannon led the squad defensively with 21 digs.

After dropping the first two sets, CC roared back to win the third set behind seven kills from Dormady.

Trinity jumped out to an early 11-4 lead in the fourth set and never trailed again.
