Sophomore
Will Shuflit became the second straight Colorado College runner to win the school's home cross country meet and led Colorado College to a second-place finish Saturday morning at the Ted Castaneda Classic at North Monument Valley Park.
Shuflit finished the 8K race in 25 minutes, 7.10 seconds, more than 20 seconds faster than runner-up Joshua Razo of Division I Air Force.

th with a time of 26:28.40, followed by freshman
Diego Escalante in 16
th in 26:32.21.

st with a time of 26:52.70 and sophomore
Parker Libby rounded out the scoring for CC in 24
th place in 27:01.00.
Colorado Mines won the team title with 34 points, followed by CC with 43 and Ft. Hays Tech Northwest with 58.
"I am really happy with how the team ran today," head coach
Alex Nichols said. "This is a meet we can directly compare to last year's squad, and today showed that we already have more depth than we did in 2023. Our gaps are getting smaller, and the team is looking like they have a good chance to beat some nationally ranked competition in two weeks at Augustana."
The Tigers return to action at the UCCS Open on Friday, Oct. 11 at North Monument Valley Park.
