The Colorado College men's basketball team hits the road for the second straight week to participate in the All-Academic Classic at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. The Tigers will take on No. 2 Washington University on Saturday, Nov. 30, at noon MT.
CC (2-2) is trying to get back in the win column after dropping its last two in hard-fought battles against Hanover College and Nebraska Wesleyan. On Sunday at 11 am MT, the Tigers will take on the University of Chicago to wrap up the weekend.
Last Time Out
CC fell at Nebraska Wesleyan 79-68 after nearly overcoming a double-digit halftime deficit.
Asher Nofziger led the Tigers with 16 points, four rebounds, a block, and four steals. All five starters scored in double digits, including senior
Scott Ruegg, who shot 4-9 from three-point range and finished with 14 points, four assists and three steals.
Devin Philio was one rebound shy of a double-double and finished with 11 points and two assists.
Gavin Carter added 11 points and two rebounds.
Leading The Way
Junior
Asher Nofziger leads the Tigers through four games with 17.5 points per game. The Denver native dished out a career-high 28 points earlier in the season against Bethany Lutheran on Nov. 9th.
Nofziger also leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game. Philio is second in both points (14.8) and rebounds (6.3) per game.
Senior
Scott Ruegg leads the team with 10 three-pointers. The California native is shooting 37 percent from long range.

Washington University enters Saturday unbeaten 4-0 record and ranks second in the latest D3hoops.com national poll. The Bears are averaging 83 points per game and are holding their opponents to 61.0 ppg.
Senior Hayden Doyle leads the team with 15 points per game. Fellow senior Drake Kindsvater is second with 14.3 ppg and nearly averages a double-double with his nine rebounds per game.
