Williams Paces Tigers with Two School Records

Josh Williams set a school record in the 200-meter dash and joined three others for a new program record in the 4x400 relay Saturday at the Chuck Hearing Classic in Pueblo, Colo.
 
Williams finished second in the 200 with a time of 21.14 seconds, breaking his own mark of 21.45 set last season. He then joined Holden Perry, Will Nakahara and Rabbit Barnes on the runner-up 4x400 relay team that posted a time of 3:20.11, surpassing the previous record of 3:20.88 set in 2019.
 
Perry captured a pair of individual top 10 results on Saturday, placing sixth in the 100 with a time of 10.96 seconds and eighth in the high jump with a leap of 5'4.75".
 
Nakahara and Sam Singer finished eighth in the 400 (50.99) and 3,000 steeplechase (10:04.73), respectively, while Luc Santos placed ninth in the steeplechase in 10:05.68.
 
Barnes placed 11th in the 1500 in 3:59.77, while Axel Komplarens, Walt Jones and Parker Libby were 12th, 13th and 15th in the 5K.
 
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 6, at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo.
