The Colorado College men's lacrosse team earned its third-straight win after a dormant showing in Buena Vista, Virginia, against Southern Virginia. The Tigers downed the Knights 20-10, and
Matt Hudson led the team with four goals and an assist for a team-high five points.

Both teams put up a combined 105 shots, with the Tigers outshooting the Knights 54-51. Goalkeepers
Ben Anastos and
Eli Turovsky combined for 19 saves in the win.

"I think we were comfortable with the shots we gave up," head coach
Mike Horowitz said. "There's no such thing as a great defense without great goaltending and today showed that."

CC's offense exploded out of the game and never looked back. In the first, the Tigers dished out six straight goals to open the game, led by
Thomas Power, who scored twice on the run.
Nick Johnson struck first with an assist from Hudson with 12:54 remaining in the quarter. Johnson scored again to end the run and put CC up 6-0 with 5:15 on the clock.

The Knights took the goose egg off the scoreboard with a goal with 3:51 left, cutting the lead to five. However,
Braydon Ellis and
Nick Bell countered with two scores of their own. CC had an 8-1 lead heading into the second quarter.

Offensively, the foot remained on the gas pedal as CC had 15 shots in the quarter, resulting in five goals to SVU's one. The Tigers took advantage of some penalties and converted on three man-up opportunities, two of which were scored by Hudson and the other by
Dylan Brown.

" I was very happy with the goals we scored in the sub-game," Horowitz said. "It's something we've been working hard on and it's key to us scoring the goals we need to win."

With a commanding 13-2 lead at halftime, the Tigers continued to dominate in the third quarter. Despite SVU's attempt at a comeback, the Tigers maintained their offensive pressure, outshooting SVU 15-11 in the third.

In the fourth, CC sealed the victory after Charli Faldi scored twice, back-to-back goals with 12 minutes remaining to put the Tigers up 20-7. The Knights nicked together a couple more scores to end the game, but it was too much to overcome as CC collected their third-straight win, their second-longest winning streak of the season.

Six Tigers racked up multi-goal games and they ended the game 4-7 on man-up opportunities.
Chuck Harrington performed well at the center circle, winning 12 of 19 faceoffs, a season-higha for the senior from Westwood, MA.

The Tigers will continue the weekend when they travel to  Newport News, VA to take on the No. 9 team in the country, Christopher Newport University.
