The Colorado College women's tennis team blanked Texas Lutheran University, 5-0, Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the 2024 SCAC Tournament.
 
The Tigers, seeded third, jumped out to an early 3-0 by winning all three doubles matches. Kala Komanduri and Avery Hickman defeated Lindsay Beville and Cooper Lindstrom, 8-1, at the No. 1 position, while CC's No. 2 team of Lindsay Popeo and Christina Heffron downed Allie and Abbie Speyrer, 8-0. Abby Wilson and Sydney Vine won the No. 3 match by default over sixth-seeded TLU.
 
In singles, Elizabeth Girian won the No. 6 match by default and Gigi Jensen clinched the team match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Mercedes Tirado.  
 
CC was winning the other four singles matches when they were pulled off the court.
 
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 27, against second-seeded Southwestern University in the semifinals, beginning at 3 p.m. (CT).
