James Settles and sophomore
Josh Williams of the Colorado College men's track and field team were selected to the 2024 Division III All-West Region teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Settles earned a spot for the 5K and 10K, while Williams was selected for the 100, 200 and 400.
Â
To be named all-region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top five of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS (Track and Field Results Reporting System) data or be part of a top-three relay team.
Â
Settles, who finished fourth in the 5K at the Division III Championships last season, had the region's third-best time in the 5K and 10K this year and will run the 5K this week at the national meet.
Â
Williams, meanwhile, will participate in the 200 and 400 at the DIII Championships after setting a school record in the 100, 200 and 400 this season. He holds the third-fastest time in the region for the 200 and 400.
Â
"James and Josh are very deserving of these all-region selections," head coach
Katie Bretscher said. "To have multiple athletes earn the award in multiple events shows that they have had outstanding seasons."
