The Colorado College volleyball team split a pair of matches on the first day of the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament Friday in Eau Claire, Wis.

The Tigers lost a four-set battle to host UW-Eau Claire, then swept Concordia-Moorhead, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

CC hit a season-high .330 (44 kills, 14 errors), led by
Brooke Brilliant with a team-high 11 kills and just one error against Concordia, followed by
Camille Sherrill and
Delaney Rach with nine kills apiece, a season high total for Rach.

Annie Steger had 36 assists, while
Meghan Gannon had a team-bet 12 digs, followed by 11 from
Annie Joo.

In the opening match of the day, the first two sets between CC and UW-Eau Claire went beyond the normal 25 points. The BluGolds saved several set points in the first before winning, 32-30, but the Tigers roared back to claim the second, 28-26.

UW-Eau Claire captured the final two sets, 25-17 and 25-18.

Carolyn Dormady led the Tigers with a season-high 24 kills, followed by Sherrill with 14. Gannon collected a season-high 24 digs, while Steger produced 46 assists and equaled her season-best total of 17 digs.

The Tigers wrap up the tournament on Saturday morning against Marian University, beginning at 10 a.m. (CT).
