Senior Erin Capell set a school record in the shot put Saturday as the Colorado College track & field teams competed at the Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite.
 
Capell finished seventh with a new-record toss of 12.16 meters (39'10.5").
 
Fellow senior Elliot Singer also posted a seventh-place finish, running the mile in a time of 5:31.76. Alison Mueller-Hikler followed in 10^th with a time of 5:37.05.
 
Clara Lippert finished eighth in the 400 in 1:01.26, while Gabriela Lues (11^th), Chloe Johnson (12^th), Alina Miranda (13^th), Molly Vance (15^th) and Abby Goulas (17^th) also competed in the 400. Lippert also led off the 4x400 relay team that placed fifth in 4:13.20.
 
On the men's side, Josh Williams set a school record for the second time in as many weeks, this time in the 400 with a time of 49.22 seconds. He finished second in the race.
