The Colorado College track & field teams return to action this weekend at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo. The two-day meet begins on Friday, Jan. 31, with field events taking place on Friday and running events on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The teams competed at the Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite, Jan. 25, at UCCS.

Senior
Erin Capell led the women's team with a seventh-place finish and school record in the shot put. She posted a new-record toss of 12.16 meters (39'10.5").

Fellow senior
Elliot Singer also posted a seventh-place finish, running the mile in a time of 5:31.76.
Alison Mueller-Hickler followed in 10
th with a time of 5:37.05.

Clara Lippert finished eighth in the 400 in 1:01.26, while
Gabriela Lues (11
th),
Chloe Johnson (12
th),
Alina Miranda (13
th),
Molly Vance (15
th) and
Abby Goulas (17
th) also competed in the 400. Lippert joined Goulas, Lues and Johnson on the 4x400 relay team that placed fifth in 4:13.20.

On the men's side,
Josh Williams set a school record for the second time in as many weeks, this time in the 400 with a time of 49.22 seconds. He finished second in the race. Â Â Â
