Last Time Out
After suffering a tough loss against the University of New Mexico on Sept. 25th, CC bounced back with a hard-fought 1-1 tie against then-first-place San Diego State.
SDSU took a late lead in the 83rd minute after 82 minutes of scoreless soccer. Alexis Leath snuck the ball past the CC goalkeeper
Regan Wallace to put SDSU in front.
Down late for the second consecutive game, the Tigers had a throw-in inside SDSU territory. Junior
Tyler Rose played a ball towards the net that was ricocheted off an Aztec defender into the waiting
Finley Schoenbeck, who drilled the tying goal off the fingertips of SDSU keeper Kailey Carlen.
It was Schoenbeck's second goal of the season.
Tiger Tails
Four players have two goals or more this season. Junior Kendall Memolly leads the team with four goals and an assist. Sophomores
Jessica Anderson and
Finley Schoenbeck and junior
Tyler Rose all have two goals and an assist.
Sophomore transfer
Nadia Cassamajor and senior
Kylie Smith lead the team with two assists each.
Shoenbeck continues to be the main shot-taker this year for the Tigers. The Texas native has a team-high 19 shots this year and a shot-on-goal percentage of .474.
Freshman defender
Lily Smith has played and started in all 10 games this year. The Rye, N.Y. native leads the team with 876 minutes, missing only minutes of pitch time this entire season.
Fellow first-year
Taylor Mentink is sixth in minutes with 713. She has made nine starts so far.
Junior Goalkeeper
Regan Wallace is third in the Mountain West with 54 saves. She is averaging 5.40 per game and has racked up three shutouts this year.
Scouting The Broncos
Boise State is led by head coach Jim Thomas, who is in his 13th season at the helm. He has a career record of 133-78-45.
The Broncos' scoring efforts are led by redshirt-senior Kenzie MacMillan, who has racked up four goals, three assists and 41 shots. BSU is second in the Mountain West with 151 shots this season.
BSU is 1-0-1 in Mountain West play after tying Wyoming 0-0 and defeating Colorado State 1-0 last weekend. MacMillan has the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute to down the Rams.
So far this year, the Broncos have a 3-3-5 record with wins over CSU, Utah Tech and Montana.
