No. 21 Tigers Wrap Up Regular Season Against Schreiner & Trinity

The No. 21 ranked Colorado College women's basketball team aims to finish with its best conference record since joining the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in 2006. The Tigers are 13-1 in SCAC play, entering contests with Schreiner and Trinity University. 
 
CC will face the Mountaineers on Friday at 5:30 p.m. MT and Trinity on Sunday at 1 pm for Senior Day. 
 
Last Time Out
 
The Tigers made history last weekend by winning at Centenary and the University of the Ozarks. CC defeated the Ladies 76-45 on Friday and the Eagles 62-55 on Sunday. 
 
CC set a new program record for wins in a season (21) with the weekend sweep. 
 
Against Centenary, Senior Zoë Tomlinson led the way with 26 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks and an assist. The New York native now has 17 double-doubles on the year, the third most in the nation and the most in the SCAC. 
 
Junior Kayla Mackel followed with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. She made two three-pointers and also racked up three steals. 
 
CC remained defensively dominant, holding Centenary to only 27.5 percent shooting and making only 14 field goals throughout the game. The Tiers forced 21 turnovers and had 11 steals. 
 
Against Ozarks, Tomlinson finished with 30 points, 15 rebounds, an assist, two blocks, and two steals. The New York native has three 30-point performances this season and now has 18 double-doubles, the third-most in the country this year. 
 
CC set a new program record for wins. It was their 10th win in a row, the longest winning streak since the 1976-77 season. 
 
Moving Up The Ranks
 
The Tigers entered the national polls this season for the first time in program history, debuting at No. 25 in the D3hoop.com and WBCA polls in January. 
 
Since then, CC has risen to No. 21 in the latest editions of both polls and ranked 22nd in the latest NCAA Power Index. 
 
The Tigers aim to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
 
 
By The Numbers
 
CC leads the SCAC in numerous categories, including scoring defense, scoring margin, rebounds per game, blocks per game, assists per game and overall winning percentage. 
 
Tomlinson is the conference leader in double-doubles, points per game, rebounds per game, blocks and field goal percentage. She is third in the nation with 19 double-doubles and ninth in total points with 528. She is also fourth in the country with 313 rebounds. 
 
Kayla Mackel is fourth in the SCAC in field goals made, eighth in total points, and first in three-pointers made.
