Kala Komanduri and 
Aspen Young each won her singles match, but it wasn't enough as the Colorado College women's tennis team fell to No. 29 Cal Tech, 5-2, Saturday in Pasadena.
 
Cal Tech jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after sweeping the three doubles matches. CC's No. 2 team of Komanduri and 
Amelia Karr put together the best effort for the Tigers before falling, 7-5, to Hannah Ramsperger and Payal Patel.
 
Komanduri kept her momentum into the singles competition, defeating Ramsperger, 6-4, 6-2, at the No. 3 position, while Young downed Anika Arora, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, at the No. 5 spot.
 
Cal Tech won the other four singles matches in straight sets.
 
The Tigers return to action on Monday, March 17, against 22
nd-ranked Redlands in Redlands, Calif., beginning at 5 p.m. (PT).
