No. 19 CC Shuts Out Hamline

The No. 19 Colorado College women's lacrosse team defeated Hamline University 23-0 on Saturday at Washburn Field. It was CC's first shutout since April 18, 2021, when the Tigers defeated the University of Dallas 22-0. 
 
12 Tigers recorded goals, including sophomore Charlotte Iler, who had four goals and an assist. Eight players had multi-goal games. Sophomore Sofia Mancino had the fourth hat trick of the season and second in the last three games. Senior Tobin Lonergan tied her career-high five assists and added two goals. 
 
Peyton Murphy tied her career high with five assists and finished with seven points, two goals, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers. 
 
Evelyn Baher-Murphy had a team-high four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Meghan Collins recorded a career-high four points with two goals and two assists. Kelsey Shankle dished out a season-high three points with two goals and an assist. Healy Bledsoe and Grace Bean also had two goals. 
 
CC scored its first ten goals in the first quarter. Iler scored all four of her goals in the opening frame, and the Tigers outshot the Pipers 13-2 in the first and 11-1 in the second. 
 
Bledsoe opened the scoring in the second quarter, followed by Mancino, who scored consecutively to make it 13-0. Bean and Lonergan closed out the first-half offense, and CC led 15-0 at the break. 
 
Molina scored first in the third quarter, a minute and 50 seconds after the opening draw control. Shankle scored her two goals, followed by Ella Roe, who scored her second goal of the season. Oliv Janerico, Collins, and Emilia Calamari each scored in the first as CC rolled to the 23-0 victory. 
 
The Tigers outshot the Pipers 41-4, including 31-3 on net. CC had nine caused turnovers and limited Hamline to only four successful clears. 
 
CC will close its home schedule on Sunday, March 30, against the College of St. Benedict on Senior Day at 11 am MT.
