St. John Fisher utilized a hot start and a strong fourth quarter to defeat the Colorado College men's lacrosse team 14-8 on Saturday at Washburn Field. 
 
Junior 
Braydon Ellis returned to the lineup, scored three goals, handed out two assists, and finished with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Freshman 
Max Vota kept his scoring streak going, now at seven games to start his Tiger career. Vota scored twice and finished with an assist, 10 shots, and three ground balls. 
 
Sophomore 
Matt Hudson had three points with a goal and two assists. 
 
The Cardinals scored the first three goals of the game before CC got on the board with a Vota goal with 3:03 remaining in the first quarter. After another SJF goal, Ellis scored his fifth goal of the season after an assist from 
Charlie Maier with six seconds left in the quarter. 
 
CC trailed 4-2 going into the second, but the Cardinals continued to build upon their lead with another four goals to the Tigers' two, and they went into the halftime break with an 8-4 advantage. 
 
Karsten Nyarady and Hudson scored in the third quarter to match SJF's two goals and keep it at a four-goal deficit. 
 
CC was able to draw back within two goals thanks to Ellis and Johnson scoring consecutively 14 seconds apart to make it 10-8 with 8:40 remaining. The Cardinals scored four more goals over the remaining eight minutes to seal the 14-8 contest. 
 
St. John Fisher had 26 turnovers to CC's 18. The Tigers held the Cardinals to 23 clears out of 31 attempts. 
 
The Tigers dropped to 4-3 on the season and 4-1 at home. Next week, they will host Illinois Wesleyan and Ursinus, starting with a matchup with the Titans on Wednesday, March 12, at 6 p.m.
