Isabel Olson broke the school record in the women's 5K Saturday for the Colorado College women's track & field team at the outdoor season-opening Oxy Distance Carnival in Los Angeles.

Olson, an Division III All-American in cross country last fall, finished second in Saturday's race with a time of 16:48.94, surpassing the old mark of 16:54.12 set by
Kendall Accetta last season.
Sydney Rankin finished third in 16:53.85, while
Charlie Flint (8
th) and
Britt Helgaas (10
th) also posted top 10 results.

Alison Mueller-Hickler also had a runner-up finish on Saturday, placing second in the 10K with a time of 35:45.64.

The 4x100 relay team of
Zaniya Bruno Munn,
Emma Jones,
Alina Miranda and
Clara Lippert placed third with a time of 50.79, while Lippert placed sixth in the 400 in 1:00.18 and 11
th in the long jump.

Emily Weinrobe placed fourth in the 3,000 steeplechase, while
Ella Fullerton and
Allison Barker finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in the 800.

In the field events,
Erin Capell finished sixth in the shot put and ninth in the discus, while
Josephine Louis tied for fifth in the pole vault and was eighth in the high jump, followed by Jones in 10
th and
Molly Vance in 12
th.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 22, at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational at CSU-Pueblo.
